NAP Equitation 4/1 (PP) – Doncaster 15:40 – 2pts win NR

Equitation is a relatively lightly-raced four-year old yet has already tasted victory twice from four career runs, with both wins coming over six furlongs and one coming here at Doncaster. He finished less than two lengths behind Watchable last month but that was his first run for eight months and he re-opposes 2lbs better off than that rival today. He was a winner on second run last season so his re-appearance should have set him up for today and with the Roger Varian yard in amongst the winners in the last few weeks they should be capable of another victory here today.

NAP Koditime 3/1 (Whill) – Sandown 14:05 – 2pts win Lost -2pts

We had Koditime as our NAP last time out and he very nearly gave us a winner. A slow start followed by a troubled passage, he burst through in the final furlong but was just nudged off in to second, possibly using up a little too much energy getting to the front. That said, he finished over three lengths ahead of Lake Volta (who finished 4th) and the Mark Johnston runner won a Listed race by over four lengths just a few days later so the form looks to be strong and as such he gets a chance to make amends here.

NB Weekender 11/4 (WHill) – York 15:00 – 2pts win 2nd -2pts

Marmelo brings the best form in to the race having won at Group 3 and Group 2 level in France, running Vazirabad to within a neck when last seen. That said, he could only manage fifth of eight the last time he made the trip over to York and has so far been seen to best effect with some cut in the ground.

In contrast, Weekender has winning form on fast ground and although he didn’t see out the two-mile trip in a Group 3 race at Sandown last time out he still managed to finish third (finishing ahead of the re-opposing Time To Study) and should appreciate the step back in trip for today’s race, having already won twice over fourteen furlongs (although was subsequently demoted to 2nd in one). With John Gosden and Frankie Dettori both continuing in excellent form he is taken to emerge victorious here.

Friday 15th June

NAP Chapelli 5/2 (B365) – York 13:50 – 2pts win WON +5pts

Went in to the tracker after returning an all the way winner at Catterick last week, breaking from the widest draw and setting the pace before staying on strongly to hold off a fast-finishing Michael Dods runner, finishing over three lengths clear of the rest of the field and doing so in a good time. Should improve and looks to have a great chance of following up here.

NB Litigation 7/2 (BV) – Goodwood 20:15 – 2pts win Lost -2pts

Ran a great race when second over 9 furlongs last time out, in the lead with a furlong to go and was only caught in the last few strides so should appreciate the drop back to a mile, a distance she has won over previously. Racing off the same mark today she looks to have a great chance of breaking her duck on turf at the third time of asking.

Couple of tracker horses out at Sandown tomorrow….

14:00 – Obertyn Martell 5/2 (B365) WON

Well supported on debut, finishing a solid second to Victory Command who has since placed twice in Class 2 races. Trainer has had a couple of big priced placed efforts in recent days and had a good winner on Thursday.

14:35 – Eagle Hunter 7/4 (B365) 2nd

Finished off his race very strongly on debut, finishing a half-length behind a well-punted Godolphin favourite and over two lengths clear of third. Should have learnt plenty from that and this slight extra distance should suit.

NAP Zabeel Star 5/1 (B365) – Haydock 19:55 – 2pts win 3rd -2pts

Zabeel Star was a convincing winner at Hamilton on penultimate run, beating Aclimatise (who has won twice since) by over three lengths with another subsequent winner back in fourth, and was only denied a follow-up in the final strides over a longer trip last time out. He won on only previous visit to Haydock, over the eight-furlong trip he again encounters today, so with the stable in decent form and Jamie Gormley in the saddle (who is four wins & two placed from seven in 2018 when riding for the stable) looks to have an excellent chance of another victory here today.

Wednesday 13th June

NAP Viscount Loftus 11/4 (whill) – Haydock 17:10 – 2pts win Lost -2pts

Viscount Loftus was only caught in the final strides at Ayr last week, on first run over seven furlongs, eventually finishing third but only a half-length behind the winner. Twice a winner on fast ground over shorter trips last season, he gets conditions to suit again here and should have learnt a lot from his narrow defeat last week so looks to have a great chance of gaining victory today, especially as he is partnered with William Buick who arrives here in excellent form and has a good record both for the trainer and at the course.

NB Udontdodou 7/2 (B365) – Chelmsford 16:20 – 2pts win Lost -2pts

Verne Castle has won three from five over track and trip but has struggled to get competitive at this level previously, while Tropics is unbeaten in two at the course but is 5lbs higher than his last victory so could be vulnerable today. Bosham has won his last three on an all-weather surface and has a record of five wins from eleven over course and distance. Despite a 6lbs rise for victory last time out he has won off higher marks in the past so has to be considered, but in a competitive looking race preference is for Udontdodou who also boasts a fantastic record here, winning four from five including two from two over today’s five-furlong trip. He was only beaten a neck on his last run on an all-weather surface and the return to Chelmsford coupled with a return to the minimum trip can see him get back to winning ways today.

3B Seniority 11/2 (PP) – Chelmsford 15:50 – 2pts win WON +11pts

Seniority battled well to record victory over course and distance last month, his first run in six months, beating a number of higher rated rivals in the process. Today sees a slight step up in class but as a result he gets in towards the bottom of the weights and the booking of Ryan Moore, who has a 34% winning strike rate in the last 12 months when riding for William Haggas and a 42% winning strike rate in the last 12 months at the course, could give him the edge and make all the difference here.

Tuesday 12th June

NAP Delirium 4/1 (PP) – Lingfield 19:50 – 2pts win Lost -2pts

Returned from a seven-month break with a commanding victory at Chepstow in May, well on top at the line despite the winning margin being only a length. Raised just 2lbs for that effort, again partnered by Callum Shepherd and with her record over today’s trip now two wins from two, she again has conditions to suit and looks primed for another victory here.

NB Ablaze 5/1 (sky) – Salisbury 17:00 – 2pts win Lost -2pts

Was a 20/1 winner over course and distance last time out, finishing strongly to win by almost two lengths. Has to carry 4lbs extra today but, with the exception of Desert Cross (who also carries an extra 4lbs for victory last time out), she comes up against a field that have been struggling for form and with both career victories coming on fast ground she should be capable of recording back-to-back CD wins.

Monday 11th June

NAP Becky The Thatcher 3/1 (betfred) – Pontefract 19:10 – 2pts win WON +6pts

Becky The Thatcher has proved to be a different proposition since switching back to the flat and having cheekpieces fitted, following up a sold second at Pontefract with a runaway victory over today’s trip at Carlisle, beating a subsequent winner by five lengths with relative ease. Today sees a slight step up in class but in truth doesn’t look tougher so she is taken to continue on her upward curve with victory here.

Waiting For Richie battled well to record victory at York when last seen and in contrast to our selection he takes a slight step down in class today. Likely to be in the mix at the business end he rates as the main danger, although has gone up by 2lbs and the recent trainer form is a bit of a concern.
