Thursday 14th September

NAP The Mums 11/4 (BV) – Doncaster 13:50 – 2pts win LOST -2pts

The Mums has improved with each career run so far and showed a great level of determination to get off the mark in soft ground last time out. She retains the services of Frankie Dettori who has an excellent strike rate when riding for John Gosden, who in turn has been in decent form in recent weeks.

NB Laurens 7/2 (sky) – Doncaster 14:25 – 2pts win WON +7pts

Laurens won here on Debut before running an excellent 2nd in a Group 3 at Deauville last month. The winner of that race looks one to follow and Laurens, although beaten by almost two lengths, was in turn over two lengths clear of third. The only runner to run since won next time out so with the extra furlong promising to suit and no concerns over the ground she could prove tough to beat here.

IWAC Great Prospector 4/1 (B365) – Doncaster 15:35 – 2pts win LOST -2pts

Great Prospector won on debut and was less than a length behind Gustav Klimt when 3rd in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes on only his second run. A neck behind Tangled last time out but the extra half furlong should suit and is therefore taken to reverse the form.

Case Key won on soft ground at Newmarket last month and although has been raised 2lbs for a nose victory he has made the frame in five from nine over six furlongs and has the benefit of in-form jockey Josephine Gordon in the saddle for today’s race.

15:00

Luca Cumani has an excellent record in this race, a decent record at the course in general and arrives in top form having won five of his last fifteen so his runner Aljezeera, who ran on well last time out, should benefit from this step up in trip and looks a decent each way option in a tough looking race.

Great Prospector won on debut and was less than a length behind Gustav Klimt when 3rd in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes on only his second run. A neck behind Tangled last time out but the extra half furlong should suit and is therefore taken to reverse the form.

16:05

A competitive race with no real stand out selection.

16:35

What A Home improved for the step up to today’s trip when winning decisively last time out. An opening mark of 80 could underestimate her ability and although the odds aren’t great she looks the one to follow in the finale.
